Very happy with the communication, speed and quality of your work! Highly recommend (image is Fomapan in Rodinal, not edited)
This page is for film scanning only. If you’ve just taken your film out of the camera → head to Film Developing / Noritsu scan pages.
Once your film is developed, we scan it on the Noritsu HS-1800 — a fast, reliable scanner known for its consistency and Digital ICE technology that automatically removes dust and scratches.
Scans can be up to 4000×6000 px (4600 ppi) and come in two formats:
Before sending your scans, we review each frame manually: rotating, cleaning marks, and adjusting exposure and color so you get results you’re truly happy with.
If you’re planning to edit the scans yourself, print them big, or use them in a project — go for the Biggie TIFF. It gives you the most detail and flexibility, without any adjustments from our side.

Do you provide color correction and dust removal during scanning?
For JPG scans we do basic color and exposure correction, so you get ready-to-post frames.
If you want a flat scan to edit yourself, please pick the TIFF option.
Can I request scans with or without film borders?
Yes! Here are some samples.
To include film borders, we use our top scanner — the Durst Sigma Plus. We recommend choosing Biggie JPG for high resolution. For Instagram or personal use, Flash JPG works great.

How are scanned images delivered to me?
We send your scans straight to your inbox — so keep an eye on your email, including spam or promotions folders.
I just shot a roll and can’t wait to see how it turned out. Can you scan it?
Yes! But you should pick the dev&scan option, depending on what film you’ve got (color, b&w, etc.)
Let’s break it down: when you take photos on film, light hits the film coated with special chemicals that react to it. This creates an image, but it’s invisible at first. To actually see the picture, the film has to go through development — a chemical process done in a machine. After that, the image is fixed on the film, and we can scan it for you.
So, development is a crucial step to get your photos ready in digital form. That’s also the reason why you can’t just open the back of your camera and see your pictures right away :)
If it worked like that, you wouldn’t need us!

Thanks a lot, you’re the best <3
DO YOU SCAN HALF-FRAMES?
Yes! We can scan them in pairs or one by one — whatever works best for you. Just give us the heads-up when you order.
WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FLASH AND BIGGIE?
Think of it like this: if you’re going big — like for an exhibition or a gift — biggie’s your go-to
For everything else — flash. It’s fast, flexible and perfect for quick edits and everyday needs.
JPG OR TIFF?
If you’re looking for scans that are ready to post but still flexible for adjustments, go with JPG. We’ll make sure they look great, and you can tweak them however you like.
If you’re going for a certain look, go with TIFF for flat, untouched scans ready for your editing.
I DIDN’T QUITE LIKE THE RESULTS…
Then let’s improve them! Scanning is all about your personal style, so let’s tweak it until it’s just right for you.
WHAT IF I HAVE A BLANK ROLL OF FILM?
Oh, it’s the worst, we feel you.
We’ll refund the scan and just charge for the development. This also applies if your film is fogged or has damaged / transparent perforation.
