Front Desk Main Character (m/w/d), Part-time

As a front desk main character you will be the first to meet our customers and help them with everything: from selecting film/camera to placing an order and caring for their negatives. 

Whom we are searching for: 

  • Human-oriented: you genuinely enjoy helping and supporting others;

  • Really into analogue: so you can carry a conversations with our clients;

  • Thorough: quick, is 16345 and 16435 the same number? You won’t be an economist, but you'll work with digits and important data a lot;

  • Bilingual: so you can effortlessly switch between English and German.

 Responsibilities:

  • communicating with customers across different channels (in-store, messenger, email, via phone etc.)

  • making sales & managing inventory

  • processing dev&scan orders

  • supporting store life: ordering film, organising and sending negatives back etc. 

 What we offer:

  • 2-3 shifts per week (Monday to Saturday) with room to grow

  • free film, if you want to do some tests or reviews for our Instagram

  • ability to use any camera in our store 

  • infinite Polaroid and film portraits. We love spontaneous photo shoots, but if you don't, no pressure!

  • working with like-minded people who get all of your film jokes and will cheer you on if you find a treasure at a flea market

  • working in a startup project where you can grow fast both professionally and career-wise

Who we are:

Film Speed Lab (www.filmspeedlab.com) is a Berlin-based analog photography startup. We’re the younger sister of Fotovramci (www.fotovramci.com), a film lab in Kyiv, Ukraine, that has been in business for more than ten years. So we’re newcomers with impressive experience in developing and scanning. For now, we develop film and analog community here, in Berlin. And we'd love to have you along for the ride!
